Okay, so. After reading lots of theories, we’ve come to a lot of options to the Stranger’s identity. He can be Bae, Rumpelstiltskin’s son; the Big Bad Wolf, because of the motorcycle and stuff; the 7-year-old kid who found Emma on the road, because she was just reading the newspaper about it, OR (tan-tan-tan) he can be the Genie of the Lamp! I went to see the part where Emma goes to Mr. Gold’s store over again and he’s just polishing the lamp! (unexpected, hum?)
So, what’s next? My real question is, WHO THE FUCK IS THIS PAL?
The two possibilities which we are led to believe...
Last night’s episode of Once Upon A Time raised two possible scenarios:
The most obvious and most tweeted one probably is that of the Stranger in town:
The conversation before Emma is outside in her car is about how she thinks of giving up searching for her family and wondering how it must be to find your father…. It held an ambiguous undertone. As if it also was about finding Henry’s father. Could it be coincidence that an entire episode about reuniting families ends with a stranger driving into town when so far only Emma has been able to make her entrance? The theory that this stranger will be Henry’s father seems to be popular, but is it really liked?
- And on a side note; wouldn’t it be so much more awesome if this new stranger (with much too tight pants but in my opinion not wearing them with such class as for instance Harry Potter’s Scabior, hand me back that sheriff Mr Humbert) turned out to be no stranger at all but someone hired by Regina. It probably won’t be like that, but Regina can play games too.
I must honestly admit this theory might just be an instance of the wish being father of the thought.
"Henry, I’ve got to go. I might know how to find this guy." And where does she go to in search for ‘the father’? Mr Gold. The sneaky man with his empty card who asks her forgiveness and receives her tolerance. He has tricks up his sleeves we do not know about. “Just a name, and I generally find that’s all one needs.” Can we keep in mind that Henry stresses the fact NO ONE can enter or leave Storybrooke so often that we are pushed to believe he is wrong? When you think about it, Mr Gold could be one of the few able to leave town. In fact, he must have to bring Henry to Regina. All he would need to do is abuse his power of asking ‘please’ to leave and the Mayor may not stop him. He was aware of Emma’s name and is powerful (read also rich) enough to get Emma in prison, for instance, to assure himself of getting the baby boy which he would then give to Regina. Surely, he knows more and this sequence of scenes might just hint at that. But could he be the father? She would have known, wouldn’t she? And we as an audience know he wasn’t the firefighter who died heroically, he was a married man. Well, Mr Gold does wear a ring (cough cough, but that aside).
So what do you think after watching this episode? Are we getting any nearer to the truth?
The most recent episode has inspired me to make a picspam of all of Mr. Gold’s various suits, ties, shirts, and pocket squares. I couldn’t resist. The man is always impeccably dressed and, though he likes dark suits, he is quite definitely NOT afraid of color. by chloris67 on Livejournal
sinful-obsessions said: given your theory so do you think he used magic to make emma forget about him and all ?? I agree with the part that he is behind luring emma into SBM and also have a feeling that he made sure regina ends up with henry!!
If it wasn’t for that my theory would have been water-proof ha! x’D No, the way we like to solve it is by saying he spiked her drink. Or that she was drunk. I wish I heard a good solution for the ‘Henry’s father was a married man and Emma still remembers him, most probably’ issue. By the gods, if it is going to be Dr Whale I will die… But I believe he has never been married >D
I hope Mr Gold will be Henry’s father and it has all been a plan to get Emma back to town. Using ‘please’ he should be able to leave Storybrooke. He could have plotted for the baby to be born in jail, he could have bribed to have Emma be told she couldn’t care for the child, he could have arranged for Henry to be brought to Storybrooke, he could even have convinced Regina to actually adopt a baby.
The fairy tale book Snow gave to Henry, I hope she has it from Mr Gold’s shop, and he brought her attention on it purposely so she would give it to Henry.
What I think is that he will ask or trick for his death to come about. I think Emma Swan will be there. I think his last favour could be to ask her to stab him with the dagger, but more dramatic it would be if he would simply trick someone (for instance Regina) in murdering him and ask his favour of Emma….. which would be to forgive him.
In the case that Mr Gold dies, Regina and Emma could reconcile and agree to both be there for Henry, giving the many ReginaxEmma fans and those supporting the modernity of relationships and series a thrill.
Emma Swan slunk wearily into the empty sheriff’s office, her energy completely drained. It had been a long night for her, both physically and emotionally. She couldn’t believe that she had won the election; that kind of luck just didn’t happen to her. Especially not in Storybrooke.
